I've been driving my 2012 ford focus SEL []with MFT for over a month now. Most of my MFT problems have been resolved. However, I have begun to really notice that the a/c system makes a low level hum when on, and that the screen has a constant buzz. Took a while to discover what was bothering me while driving, but I can isolate it when I turn the system off/on with the engine off. I notice it while driving (it is not masked) and it is really draining my enjoyment of the car. Has anyone else noticed this and has anyone dealt with a dealer about this problem?

I would probably rather find that this is an uncommon problem -- it might be fixable. If it is just the normal noise made by the focus, then I doubt it can be corrected.

Can you hear the buzz clearly from your normal seating position?

Yes. Touchscreen buzz audible from drivers seat. Hvac hum is as well but harder to pinpoint.

Is it a fan noise maybe?

I haven't seen a MFT unit but, I'd imagine there is a cooling fan on the unit. Could be the fan is out of balance or a bit loose and that's making noise.

You could pull the fuses for the MFT and see if the noise is still there....
