I like it, in fact I have one being built for me now. I ordered the 09 SES Coupe in Red with ALL the options. Moon and Tune package (moon roof and 6 CD Audiophille sound system), heated leather seats, ABS and stability control system, with the 5 speed. Not one dealer within 1500 miles had what I wanted in stock, so I ordered the damn thing. We did the same for my wife's 08 SES Sedan. This will be my 5th Focus, and 8th Ford, I like the Blue Oval, ya think?? I used to own a 2000 ZX4, then the very cool 2000 Kona Focus, (the color of the Kona was really different, they called it "dirt"), and I still have the bike that came with it. Next was the 2002 Sony Edition ZX4 for my son (which he later totaled, grrrrrr), then the 03 Infra Red ZX3 SVT, which I love. I love it, but it is getting old, and it is time for new wheels.

Now here is where I'll get a bunch of comments. I am selling my 03 ZX3 SVT and going with the Coupe. I know, I know...........

But, I guess I am the old fool (53) in the beta-blockers mention in a previous post!
I am sold on the sync system and the Premium sound package, and I do like the roof-line spoiler, and the wheels are nice. I did drive one at the dealer, and the handling wasn't too bad, compared to my wife's 08 sedan it is a big difference.
Different strokes for different folks.
Thanks for reading my long-winded post........

Wow now I feel silly, NOT!!!
Teenie bopper girls usually dive their parents cars.
I am old, (see my last post) I guess, compared to the vast majority of our fellow Fanatics, (is 53 old?), I think age is a frame of mind, I feel younger than my age. But very glad to have gained a whole lot of wisdom in those years. (I think)

As a Disabled Vietnam Veteran, I really don't get your signature quote. What point are you making with that statement? I know it is off topic, but would be interested to see if you too are a Veteran. If so, then I guess you are entitled to opine on that subject. Not trying to flame you, but it caught my eye.

I am standing my ground on the opinion of the new Focus. It is not meant to be fact, that is just what I see from day to day. Please don't take it personally, it's meant to make folks laugh.
To answer your other question, yes, I am a disabled Vet as well. From a different time and different war, but we are all brothers in arms. I have that signature, because it is true and that's how I feel. Thank you for your service during Vietnam.

Thank you my brother in arms. I salute you!! Vietnam is still a very touchy subject for me. We did not return home as heroes , but were met with general disgust and disdain. Bitter, yes I am a little. What really ticked me off was the way the mainstream liberal biased media treated John McCain. He was vilified and mocked. They made mocking snide remarks about his posture, and lack of Internet skills. He was tortured for Christs sakes, they broke both his arms, making it awkward to use a keyboard. But I guess I should shut up about it. Sorry for the rant. Probably not the right forum, but I can't help it. No yellow ribbons on the trees for us. But, time heals all wounds to a certain degree.

Thank you for serving!

OT: All of my Uncles and my Father served in Vietnam, both of my Grandfathers served in WWII, I am forever in their debt. I remember the remarks when I came home. "It's all bush's war for oil."......right, tell that to the folks who just voted for the first time in over 50 yrs. I feel your pain, but I move on to help others at the VA Hospital where I work. As for the media, some things never change.

As for the Focus, it's okay, I just love those RS and ST Foci !!!!!!!!!

didn't see this poll a year ago... I think that Ford listened to our comments. yes, there is a lot of corporate culture involved and a true redesign is unlikely if the Euro focus is actually on its way here.

it's a solid step in the right direction. all it needs is an optional suspension package and a hopped up motor.

I like the styling myself. It reminds me of TWO Fords I had previously in my life:

1986 Ford Escort Pony 2dr.hatchback-1.9 liter engine,4-spd."Fuel Saver"manual trans. Basic transportation that got me thru my college days!!lol

1986 Ford Tempo GL coupe-2.3 HSO"High Specific Output" version of the HSC engine,5-spd. manual,A/C,AM/FM/Cassette,Cruise control,Power mirrors. It was a lot of car for a modest amount of money!!

First Focus SES Coupe. Granted it is an Automatic (thanks to wife :)) but handling and performance are quite good so far. I prefer a much stiffer suspension and handling, but this is a daily driver. That said I would have preferred that the car sit lower overall. The gaps are just too large in my opinion. This coming from an Acura RSX/Integra platform. Overall fit and finish are excellent and for me require little changing. Seats could be more supportive like my Sparco REV (in our race CRX).
Just the observations of a long time FORD guy.

I love mine, granted its a lot smaller than what I had before(Taurus) but it handles real well, and it gets excellent gas mileage. Great vehicle overall and I hope to own it for many years.

Its a (small) step in the right direction, but only due to the front end IMO. Then again, we just bought an '08 SES sedan the other day, so maybe we like it!

I really like this car design, in the interior the seats are in leather, the outside has the characteristics of a rally and I really like the color. In my opinion Sangria Red Metallic Ford Focus is very sexy and it is after the women's taste. Enjoy of a full review about this car on topspeed.com
