Hello,

I own a 2008 Ford Focus SE (Bought New in Ontario in 2008)

Ford Focus (second generation, North America, 2008-2011)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Focus_(second_generation,_North_America)

I was just wondering if anyone had a similar issue to what I am having.

The car has 49,000 km on it and at a Stop Light while idling the car will Vibrate quite a bit on the passenger side and if no one is sitting in the passenger front seat it will often rattle. I'll notice other vibrations at idle as well, but not always. But more often than not.

I've also noticed that at around 60-65km/hr when accelerating the car will vibrate/rattle a bit, but then when i let off the gas pedal it will stop.

I had my mechanic look at the car and he didn't think anything was wrong with the mount , but i read some mechanics won't realize anythings wrong because it's fluid filled/gel filled. So i asked him what do you think the rattle is and he said , " it's a focus ".

I don't want to take it to the dealer but I am thinking that might the be the best idea to have it diagnosed, then get the part from Ford and take it to my mechanic and have him change the part.

I am seriously thinking it's either the
-3103 Front Engine Mount
-3087 Torque Strut Mount

A guy had a somewhat similar video post here > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z52avZq81Yc

I wondered if anyone else could comment on this, it would be greatly appreciated , i'd like to cure the issue before the end of the month Nov 2015, winter is on the way .

try to replace the passager mount first, and if persist , replace the automatic shiftbox mount located under the batterie, and if again it continu a bit replace the last mount located under the chassis to avoid vibration back and forth when passing gears
cheers
