[G Ford Fan]

I posted this note in the 2 gen forum, so the moderators can delete whichever one they feel is not appropriate.

I serviced my wife's 08' last evening and to my suprise the bottom of the rack and pinion in the area of where the steering shaft enters the rack, is wet! It's not pouring out, but clearly is starting to leak.

Considering this car is only a bit over 3 years old, this has me pretty upset. I was wondering if anyone else has any rack issues with their 08's?

I love Ford, but this is very dissapointing. We bought this car brand-new and I thought I'd get at least 5 trouble free years out of it!

At this point, I'm going to add some lucas and leave it be. It sure does NOT seem like any fun to change out when the time comes!

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

i have a 2004 and the rack was leaking badly. I managed yo drive it around for 2 years with lucas stop leak. it made steering in the cold really hard, so make sure your wife warms up the car in the cold weather.
