I recently did the brake pads and rotors on my car and noticed that on each caliper are two different types of guide pins, one with grooves and the other is smooth with rubber bushings at the end of it.

The ones with the rubber bushing at the end were extremely tight when in the caliper and did not move freely, so i just replaced them with new ones without the bushing.

My question is, how much of a difference would the ones without the rubber bushings make?
