Hi,
I'm new to the forums and was wondering if anyone could give me some info on the following......
I'm going to be purchasing a focus titanium 58 plate in the very near future.
One of the reasons i'm choosing this as my first car is because i have heard good
Things about the sony sound system that comes with it.
I have an iPhone/iPod which I will be looking to use for my music once I have it as I have no need for cd's anymore.
I'v been doing a lot of research into the aux input it has in the glovebox and Iv been reading that the sound quality is poor when using it through an iPhone/iPod. Is this true? Do the majority of owners of this car experience this problem?
Also just out of curiosity how do you rate the sound system overal like bass/clarity etc? I am a bit of a bass head but it doesn't have to be crazy, anything close to the a3 Audi concert system is cool.
Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated as I think the car in general is beautiful but if the sound quality is going to be crap when I'm using it then it's a little bit of a put off as I love my music lol!
Thanks for taking the time to read this :)

The biggest degradation in sound quality you'll get from the AUX port is due to the compression of the MP3 itself. Rip an MP3 at 192kbps and listen side by side with the CD and, absolutely, you'll say the AUX port sucks. Rip at 320kbps and you might not be able to tell much of a difference.

Short of that, I haven't heard the AUX port in the 08 Focus being any different from any other AUX port in any other vehicle.

Ok thanks for the info that helps.
Also how do you rate the sony system overall, e.g speaker quality? Does it have a decent amount of bass say in comparison to the Audi concert in an a3?
Thanks
