I drove through a big puddle of water the other day and my power steering quit working for a bit. After some slight squealing the power steering started to work again. I am guessing I need to replace the serpentine belt because it is slipping. When I went online to buy a replacement AutoZone had an 87.5" and 88" belt for the car. So which size would work best (or does the 0.5" not really matter)?
I have a 2006 Ford Focus SES with about 103,000 miles on it.
If you can think of another reason for the loss of power steering let me know.
