Anyone knows exactly the months in which the 2005.5 in considered to be the new era? I for example if I'm looking for some shift cables for my 06, from what production month should I look for in a 2005?

Id assume any car from 2002.5 and up would have the proper cables? they changed the shifter type that year.. even if thats true 05 and 06 are the exact same car powertrain wise so any 05 should work

^^^ Not quite sure about that. I went to the dealer and ask for the price on shifter cables for an MTX-75 for a 2006 duratec, and the guy right there asked. "in what month was your car produced?" and I was like "what the hell, it's an 06 [email protected] dammit" so yeah, there's a change in the production because there were 2 options for the cables, but stupid me forgot to ask what were the difference in years.

Are you 100% positive? I'm asking this because today at the dealer I asked for the MTX-75 part number for a 2006 and it come up to be 4S4Z (at least it was the number on the computer screen), then I went to a junk yard and there I found a 2005 focus that was made on 08/05 and the transmission part number in there said 4S4R so I'm really confused right now. I guess I'm going back to the dealer again tomorrow.
