Hi all im new to the site . My problem is that the boot button on my car and the key fob button to open the boot has completely stopped working also my passenger side window doesnt work has this anything to do with the problem ? Any help much appreciated

If the boot button and key fob button stopped working at the same time then logically it's a problem with the common part they activate; the boot release motor. Before you inspect the motor though, check any relevant fuses and the look at the wiring harness where it enters the trunk from the body for electrical shorts. The harness flexes over time and chafes exposing bare wires that ground on the chassis so the motor doesn't receive power.
