I've been having an issue with my SVT Focus and im not 100% sure what it might be. Every time i put it in gear and attempt to drive it, it's wanting to go into a very high RPM (around 3000 or so) before it even wants to try to move, even when my foot is completely off of the clutch pedal. Sometimes my car will shake as well as it tries to accelerate. I'm starting to think that my clutch might be out, but i'm not completely sure. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a shot clutch, usually shows first by slipping when accelerating in a higher gear.

If you put it in gear engine off & it will still roll, you've proven the shot clutch.

Yep it's definitely the clutch. I just did a simple diagnostics test and sure enough, I found out that when my car is idle and i try to put it in gear, I left off the clutch with no gas and it STILL sits idle when it's supposed to kill itself.

no slippage yet on mine and I have 118,000 now Im hoping to get 150k out of it.

Just a reminder to you, change out the clutch master cylinder at the same time its 30$( at your local parts house) you dont want to replace your clutch and then your master starts leaking on your pedal. Also the rubber clutch line is probably cracking after all these years replace it with the Braided line from CFM.
