i have been having a problem with my car the last few weeks. when driving it will pop out of gear but pop back after a few seconds. also when it messes up the headlights flick on and off. i took it to three different mechanics and they hooked it up too computers but nothing comes up. nobody can figure out what is causing it. did anyone else have this problem. any help would be great its been costing me alot of money lately to keep taking it in to shops and having to rent cars. thanks

Don't know man, the only thing I can think of is a bad transmission but if you say that your headlights flick at the same time... I don't know, maybe a grounding problem, short circuit [dunno]

Sounds like shift solenoid possibly. That is what mine did when I lost one of the shift solenoid. Shifted hard after coming out of gear too. Does the O/D off light blink? Take it to a transmission shop and have them test it.

i have the same problem when my automatic once it shift from 3rd to 4th the transmission disengages until the car can drop back to third its the shift solenoid and im led to belive i may have caused this due to my aftermarket battery and the wires constantly come loose cause they r being stretched
