Hello, I am looking into buying this very good condition 2000 zx3 focus with 104kmiles (needs engine). While searching for engines I found a replacement for $500 with just 40k miles on it, not too shabby.. but I got curious and clicked on the raised intake engine search and turns out there is one in my very own town with JUST 15,000miles from a 2002 for $540. Now are there any issues with throwing the raised intake engine into this car with lets say the ecu or anything? If so could I get by with swapping over the smooth intake from the engine that's currently in the car. I tried searching around for an answer and best I found was someone said there was rewiring to do?

Earlier "smooth" intake is preferred, so swap it over (didn't recognize "raised" until you mentioned smooth).

Mainly better for forced induction mods, but some think it might flow a little better.

not all externals will necessarily match, just swap the ones that don't to avoid hookup issues with the harness.
