Hi - I accidentally drove my wife's 4 door 2000 Focus into a high curb and crunched the suspension on the left front wheel. Don't know all the damage yet - but the 2 airbags popped, the pass. one smashing the windshield, and the left front rim & tire are pushed back and jammed. We live in Mexico and the car is here - about 300 miles south of the US.

The car is US built - VIN starts with 1FA F P34 P 5 Y W 3xxxxx

We used to have a 2006 3 door Focus and when it needed a clutch kit I had to get it in the US because the Mexican Ford dealers didn't have it because the Focus's here were built in the EU and so were different.

Any idea if the 2000 Focus's here are US built cars and therefore used parts from a a Mexican auto wrecker will fit?

I live in Mexico and US (Tijuana and San Diego)
For suspension parts i think you can search in mexican auto wreckers as i know mexican focus MK1 use the same parts in suspension as the US model.

Doing further research, I found that in 2000 Ford changed the front suspension on 6/30/2000 - up to 6/30 they used part XXX for strut and on 7/01 changed to part yyy
