My wife has a 2000 Focus Wagon. At various times over the past year or so, and now almost all the time, when she uses her remote to lock the car doors, the parking lights flash and then turn on to stay. She has to use the remote to unlock and then lock the car several times in a row to get the lights to stay off. The same thing happens when using the push button lock switch on the inside of the doors.

Sometimes, the lights will stay on after the doors are unlocked.

You also have to be within 5 feet of the car door to get the locks to activate.

Is there a fix for this problem? We have the original two remotes. Will new batteries in the key fob solve the problem??

Cheers,

that's odd........but the range would definitely indicate the need for new batteries.......give it a try, it just might fix it (less someone else has the same problem :B)
