My car is extremely rough at idle the car jolts and the rpms jump up and down until the car dies, also my breaks get very hard and I can't stop. I changed the maf sensor about a month ago and it seemed to fix the problem until tonight when the same problem started and I'm stunned on what the problem could be! Any input would be greatly appreciated Thank You.

I also hear a very loud vacuum sound from the drivers side while I'm beside a wall but I cannot see a leak even while on the hoist.

Check the vacuum lines connected to the DPFE. It should be to the passenger side of the brake fluid reservoir.

Check the line to the brake booster as well.

Have a look at the back PCV hose where it attaches to back lower of intake manifold, they commonly suck a hole to make a vacuum leak right around there.
