All, I recent bought a Focus and it has developed a knocking noise in the front suspension! It sounds like both the LH side and RH side are creating the noise. The car just passed it MOT with this problem. I have had a look and I think it may be the Stabiliser Link bars as the bushes seem quite worn. The car is fine on the motorway it just happens on bumpy roads. I would like to see if anyone else has had the same problem and what was the fix? Uk based.

If it turn out to be the Stabiliser Link can I do this without jacking up the front of the car?

Link bars are quite common (dogbones), you have to lift the car, & remove the wheel to do this. The parts you should get for less than 10GBP a piece.
