What is the outside ring diameter on a 10" sub?Is it 10"

Posted via FF Mobile It depends, on the JL Audio sub I just bought has the whole diameter that you cut out just a little over 8 inches and that was for a 10 sub. Sorry misread , the outside is at 10 but I have actually seen some a little smaller and e still called them 10

depends on the sub completely and totally. for instance a jl 10w7 is even smaller and is even too small to go in a standard 10 subs box

cant answer it but, my t2 12 is just over 12" but the rubber on for the speaker itself is 12", see they measure the speaker at 12" but the basket the speaker is in is just a little bigger. what sub is it your talking about? the book it comes with should say, if not you should be able to find it online.

It varies. Go to Harbor Freight and buy a large caliper. They are cheap like 8 bucks. Many brands list a different size than what the driver actually is. I will never trust what is on paper again.
