Howdy All,

My Focus is twerking her butt everytime she hits a bump or rut in the road. I've read others post about this, so it is rebuild time.

Is there a complete (front rear suspension) bushing kit available? Preferably polyutethane not rubber.

If y'all are bored I wouldn't mind inputs for new brake discs and struts, front and rear. Probably stock but not averse from a decent bolt on either.

I don't want to piss off the car repair gods, but I am pretty handy with a set of tools and the FSM. Just replaced alternator, scary easy.

In advance I appreciate the help and time to respond

Cheers

Chris

Prothane and Energy both make a bushing kit, both are full poly setups.

As far as brakes go, i like centric's solid rotors and then greenstuff or hawk pads. If you want an upgrade, get your hands on a pair for SVT front calipers/brackets, they bolt right in and allow you to use the larger SVT rotor

Your struts could also be blown, depending on miles/wear. Might not be a bad time to refresh those too. If you can find the SVT style struts/shocks, id go with those and do both front and rear at the same time

Prothane is a full kit. Energy is not.

I 2nd the Centrics and the SVT brake upgrade.

SVT struts came stock on the ST. There is a 3/4" coil spring spacer in there so it sits at the same height as a regular sedan. Without the spacer it will sit like an SVT.

Here are the SVT struts/shocks for 06+ cars.

Howdy! Thanks for the replies, I love other people's knowlwdge!

She has 131k miles sruts replaced once, but worn out! Some of these kits stop at '05. Is there a change between '05 and '07 I don't know about?

Cheers

The Diameter of the strut changed on 06+
The link I posted is the correct struts for the 06+
The 'B' at the end of the part number is what you need

technically you can fit 00-05 struts up front (rear is the same) but you need to buy this:
MASS'10106 - Massive OMNI-KIT Suspension Adaptor - Massive Hardcore Racing Performance Parts - Massive Speed System - Ford Focus Specialists

Easy to use but just an added cost. It's essentially just a shim that allows you to fit the smaller diameter front strut in the knuckle
Yep this opens up the options quite a bit if he's looking to run something other than SVT the stuff I linked.
If he wants to run Koni, AGX, Bistein, etc
