Hey guys, I wanted to share a tip here. I have a 07 Focus SES ZX4. It had a soft pedal that went nearly to the floor, but could be pumped and firmed up some. Usually that is indicative of a master cylinder issue. Well I replaced that, a bit spendy, and it did not fix the problem. I found a video on YouTube where a guy had the same issue with a F100. He did the master cylinder, new pads, rotors, the whole nine yards. Well in desperation he replaced the ABS pump with a used one and bingo. Well, I did the same thing. A used one from a salvage yard will run about 50 bucks and under 300 for labor. I did it as well and bingo my brakes are great. If you experience this problem maybe get the used abs pump first. A new abs pump is over 300 bucks.
