Hi all,

Apologies for the potentially stupid question, I've been searching for the answer for a while now. During the process of replacing my clutch slave cylinder, the inner driver's side CV boot got a small puncture. I've been looking for days and no shops list the inner CV boot, or they only have CV boots for the automatic Focus, not the manual.

Is the inner CV boot for the manual transmission the same as the inner for the automatic? I've found a few Ebay sets, but they don't list transmission compatibility. If anyone knows the answer or can point me to a compatible boot that I can purchase, that would be awesome.

The drivers side axle is the same on the mk1 between the auto an manual. Might be the same on the later generations too, not sure on that one.

You have to be careful. You gave the correct info to the OP for his 2005 (MK1.5). For MK1 '00-04' I know left/drivers are the same for 4F27E and MTX75. But I think for IB5 they are different.

IB5 trans only used on the SPI single cam motor I'm thinking.

OP don't overfill the grease or the boot blows out quick.

Verify the spline count prior to installation....even better verify the spline count prior to purchase.
