Mine has never liked the cold... even after the TSB's were done.
Part of the problem is the throttle body. The butterfly valve is metal and the housing is plastic... 8th grade sience class teaches us that metal and plastic will expand/contract at different temps... so on those cold mornings it may stick open/shut and cause a sticking of your gas pedal.. once both heat up to the same temps.. normal driving will resume.
It's just a design flaw... an all metal aftermarket throttle body may help.
I would start with your TPS sensor and then branch off from there....I have read that the Idle air control valve will cause a "hanging" idle and revs...it could be a vaccum leak.I would check those for now??? any CEL?
