I have a 2001 ZX3 that stalls on a cold start and when it's cooled off. The issue didn't start until winter hit. It starts right up with no issues, idles up then idles down to idle. Once it approaches idle, it starts to run rough and then dies unless you give it some gas. But it you hold the gas a little above 1000 rpms for a few minutes, then it will run at idle once you let off. It has a new tune up and I am not getting any check engine light.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Check/clean your idle air control valve. Also your PCV hose, particularly the 90 degree bend that tends to suck flat when the engine is running.

Thanks. I found various posts saying the same thing, I was just posting to see if anyone found something different wrong and was easier than replacing a IAC.

Does anyone have a picture of the PCV hose installed in the car? I have a feeling that the PCV hose in my Focus has been replaced with a heater hose, nice and botched together. But I want to be sure first
