i think the idea is great as well, but if im not mistaken doesnt the side duct not really get that much air in the first place? kindof wondering if this is worth it as opposed to my iceman intake duct tube.

The iceman add on duct sits behind the headlight. This is nothing other than a snorkle for a draw through intake. Cowl induction is just that...induction. The air passing over the hood and pitching up over the windshield creates a pressurized pocket of outside air in the cowl. What essentially is happening with this simple, cheap mod is as speed increases, outside air is forced into the "resonator" and pushed into the airbox itself. I have also contemplated the resonator acts as a small source of extra outside air available for a little extra punch. Some oem's use similar parts, calling them torque boxes. But who knows. Unless that iceman duct is hooked up to something in the front grill...it's only another draw through source for the engine.

Why not just remove the resonator and hook the tube directly to the side of the airbox?

Sort of like, http://www.myfordfocus.com/how-to/ice-man-clone.htm

Run the tube where-ever you like... ;)

The GoodHood ram air would be awesome with all that air already coming in.... of course you would then need an aftermarket short ram like the volant or FS Cool-Flo for optimal performance :)
