2.0 zetec build

I just purchased a automatic 03 focus a few weeks ago and I'm wanting to know if I can build the engine to get around 200 horsepower or more without a turbo and wanting to know what parts I would need to get and what brand. I do plan on putting in a turbo in the future
~Thanks~

You need to choose now NA or Boost , NA engine would be 10.5-11 Compression , Boost Engine would be 9.0 to 9.5 Compression

No sense in buying header then buying turbo manifold etc etc

You wont see 200 whp with a Zetec

I looked up what NA means and I'd rather go with that. What would I need engine wise to get more power. I'm wanting to build it but to get more power but i want it to last

NA means Natural Aspirated , Meaning no boost or Nitrous

In NA form you can get to the 160-170 WHP

Custom Tune
SVT Header with 3 inch Exh , 2.5 if your not doing the entire list
Comp stg2 cams
Surface head .030-.040
Adj cam gears
Good intake
Larger TB

Any car is worth taking to a drag strip. You will be around 17-16 seconds on a stock car.

just know that you are going to be competitive with others that are similar weight and power. you are not going to gap or run faster times than a Mustang, or a Focus ST, or a modified Civic....

But you can still have fun. Compare reaction times, those are the same regardless of the 1000 HP drag car or a 70hp Kia Rio, because it's a reaction of the driver not the car.

Note that two of the things Tom listed (1turbofocus) require removal of the head. (Cams and surfacing to get up compression).

Drag strip on weekends and reliable rarely go in the same sentence. but again can be done with enough money and the right parts.
