Keep wheel well liners in?

Right now I have my front wheel liners out of the car because I have rolled the fenders and the larger wheels make it a really tight fit.

What do people do who track their Mk1 Foci do for wheel well liners? Leave them out? Try to make the stock ones work? Once you fender flairs what do you do to make them work with those?

Thanks!

No fender liners here, either.
Track only car. No wet weather.

I took out my foglight "blanks" along with no fenderwell liners and now I get some air for the brakes.

My K&N FIPK filter is right in front of the left wheel, so sometimes it picks up some dirt. I have been running the sock over the filter depending on the track.
