And today it is off for an alignment. Cant wait to put some miles on the new setup! The tires make the car look much more complete as a rally setup, as shown by the before street tires pictures and after new larger tires.

keep in mind your header is the low spot of the undercariage and prone to damage. Might consider a skid plate.
mine cost $50 for a scrap sheet of 3/16" aluminum and a 6 pack of beer for the guy at work to weld some mounts together.

Yep, thats the next agenda item to design and install in the spring. My pre-cat O2 sensor is snapped off due to that low spot and some deep gravel holes in a parking lot from before. I plan to design something I can incorporate driving lights into to like a rally innovations bumper.

Thought I'd give an update, have not had a problem with the focus since doing the rebuild. It handles everything I've thrown at it so far well, even with the open diff. I've done some pretty deep snow running on all-seasons her in Michigan during our lovely snow storms of this winter, and no problems at all. Plenty of ground clearance and very stable and predictable even on the snow and ice.

I ended up going with Spec-d, as they seem like the most quality LED taillight on the market currently for the older hatchbacks without a clear lens (I hate clear taillights on a dark car). I did stick with the Euro tail light setup, and finally installed new reverse lights. I used offroad LED lights mounted under the rear bumper so they point through the rear Euro bumper grill. I also went with yellow LED blinker bulbs to make everything LED. The Spec-d lights do fit much better than Eurostars actually, which surprised me. I just had to modify the plug holes, as they were wrong, and then just siliconed to bulb sockets in. I soldered weatherproof plugs farther down the lead so the bulb sockets don't need to be removed to removed the tail light.
been looking for those taillights from Spec-d and cant seen to find them. where you buy them at? and what model are they?

you got a sweet ride.
