There's a hook shaped tab on the side at the bottom of the strut to lock on the mounting bolt in the knuckle, only see it when the strut is out. Further up for sway bar tab & brake hose tab.

Diameter to fit IN the knuckle has to be exact, as mentioned before even later focus ones won't fit in the early knuckles and a shim is needed to do the reverse.

I'm not even using the brake hose tab after I changed my first transaxel lol but yes that's what I'm wondering because that's the hook tab I was talking about and yes there are a lot of places the struts need to fit but I didn't get any solid answers from you guys until I told y'all I was going to do it lol
