Would love to make it to Sno*Drift again this year. I worked finish control last year. That being said, I'm disappointed in Rally America for removing Ojibwe Forest and LSPR from their national schedule...those were the two closest national rallies for me!
I should be at Sno*Drift again this year. This time I'm not getting stuck 5 miles into the woods on a snow mobile trail in almost 0° weather for 4 hours.
Here is the schedule we are running at MainiaxMotorsports (bunch of maine boys with Fords (Focus, Boosted Focus, Focus, Escort Cosworth RS-yep, its real)
SandBlast - Cosworth Won AWD
Rally New York Tarmac - April - USRC
STPR - June - Rally America
New England Forest Rally - Rally America- July
Rally West Virginia- NASA - end of July
Rally New York - USRC
Black River Stages - NASA
International Rally New York - USRC
Yup, I appreciate their involvement, but factory teams really stick it to the privateers. I've become a much bigger fan of the SP class the last few years, more competition there.
This is the first year since 2002 that I haven't attended NEFR. Had a wedding to go to Friday night. Really missed the experience. I did manage to catch the Global Rallycross in NH on Saturday, though, and it was a blast despite a track full of nascar junkies. Even got Ken Block and Tanner Foust's autograph. I think Ken was happy that someone actually asked him about Rally Finland as opposed to the zillion gymkhana questions.
wow im late to seeing this. I didnt work 100aw but i was doing media coverage for gotcone.com i happened to be at the stage where crazy leo went off into the trees and almost hit my friend. I've have the video on youtube if anyone want to see it.
