When you can't afford the real thing

I'm into scale RC Trail running, and last fall a friend of mine got me into RC Rally.

Here are some photos of a bunch of us at a baseball field ar Frick Park in Pittsburgh. Its lotsa fun, I run the red lancer:

Here is me and the friend that got me into it behind an abandoned Hills store running tarmac.

He owns all but the red Lancer in this photo. He is addicted!

His RC Rally Fiesta and My Focus(I'll be Rallyizing my 1:1 as budget allows):

I'm looking for a cheap fiesta body to toss on my DRV-VE.

The models shown are Kyosho DRX-VE's(Fiesta and Lancer, Tamiya XV-01(subaru), and 2 Rally legend RC replicas (lancia, fiat).

I need to find some rally style wheels for my focus, Any help?

Wow, that looks really fun. I fear I would probably spend way to much money on those if I got into it.

My Friend's kids are all on their own, and he owns his own business and does pretty well. He gets what he wants and has a blast.

I on the other hand have 3 young kids and have to watch my toy budget closely.

With a box stock DRX-VE you can have a blast. Its real drivers hobby.

My DRX is actually a nitro converted to Electric. I've found with the brushless systems of today, I can run as fast as the nitro, just as long, with none of the mess!

Anyone in the burgh area wants to have a go, just PM me. We will be having a RC Rally series this year.
