Have appointment for my 2014 with just over 11K miles. At idle in park or in gear it will shiver every few seconds. Kind of like running rough but sporadically. Every few seconds. No dip in the tach. when it does this. Dropping it off Monday. Been doing it for some months now and mileage not great either. Only use top tier fuel. Shell/Exxon. Lifetime MPG just dropped to 28.4 today. A year ago this month I averaged around 40mpg on trip to Ohio and back.

One of your poll answers should have been, "So many problems that I will never buy a Ford again". I don't care if it's under warranty or not. Of course you're going to emphasize the negatives if your car is messing up all the time.

I think a positive experience is; no issues during the bumper to bumper warranty. I've had my car in the shop twice in less than 20K miles for DCT (Dog Crap Transmission) issues. This time they just reset the transmission module rather than replacing the clutch again with the "latest fix". This means I'll probably be in the shop again in less than 10K. Also took it in for a low speed rattle/clunking which they said was related to the transmission. I know this is related to the suspension or one of the engine mounts but they had my car 4 days and I couldn't stand the base model focus sedan rental car! Get this... even the rental car's DCT was acting up, worse than mine was! I told Enterprise about the DCT shudder on their rental car. As I was leaving, I saw him driving the rental car in to the service department! I would actually laugh if I wasn't having to deal with the same issue myself. Epic fail.

I get SICK of seeing the same service people. I get SICK of the spiel. I get SICK of being in a rental car. I get SICK of waiting in the service driveway and rental car office.

I WISH to God someone would start a class action lawsuit against Ford. I'd jump on that bandwagon so fast! I WISH I would have done better research on the focus prior to buying my lemon. I WISH I was in a better place to get rid of this car…

That was one of the answers:

Though the poll started in 2007, years before anyone knew the DCT would some day be used & have troubles, and it doesn't quite fit your situation.

True. So I guess owners with FF before 2012 can disregard. Everyone else - it applies...

2014 SE. 11,136 miles. Mild shuddering. Told yesterday clutches out of spec, ordering new ones. 6 weeks wait time. They reset PCM/TCM per invoice. Clock was no longer working after reset but found advise on how to fix this on this site w/o disc. battery.

When I get into my 2013 Titanium Sedan with the upgraded Sony system, often I find that the music volume can be at max and it will only come out at 1/2 of what I know it can do. Normally, 1/2 is perfect and max vol. is way too loud, it seems to fix itself after I get out and restart the car. Also, the volumes for Bluetooth stereo vs radio vs usb music vs a CD are all different. This is extremely frustrating.

The biggest issue the car has is me as its owner. Lol.

I bought my 2007 SE at 146,000KM. So far I've only had to replace the battery which was the original and left me stranded, and the alternator which was not producing enough voltage and causing the light to come on intermittently. Other than that, just maintenance, spark plugs, PCV valve, intake gaskets.

My 2009 finally put me a foot for the first time this week at 202500 miles. It did wait until I was 8 miles from home and not where I was shopping 50 miles away that morning.

It had the courtesy of flipping the serpentine belt in front of the local towing service.

Belt tensioner was still tensioning but wore so the pulley was 5° out of the belt plane. I put a new tensioner and water pump in all is good again.

I'm hoping to make it to 250,000 miles.
