Check in with the recent recalls that have been issued, covered my TCM repair in full. I also believe there is one for leaks and such with extended warranty on certain trans parts and services.

Mine is overall stock untouched and great. Old lady zx3. But she's a squeaky little cart in the rear. Gotta button a few thing up but eh. I'm wondering what the best yr/yrs the zx3 had.

I bought mine used, and it had been poorly maintained. It had a number of things wrong because the previous owners had not done repairs and maintenance as it came up. My husband was convinced it had problems that it turned out not to have. So he didn't want to spend anything on fixing it.

After he passed, I was going to replace it, but the more I talked to people about what symptoms it had, I realized it was fixable for less than I'd spend on another car.

So while I've been replacing a lot of parts, it's mainly been things that should have been done long before I even bought it.

It's 15 yeas old. I bought it about 3 years ago. It has over 200K on it, but the engine and tranny are still good. After I fix the current issue, (alternator) and install the rest of the parts I've already bought, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it a long trip.

*knock on wood* I have had just regular repairs my 08 SE. Things such as, oil, tires, brakes, clutch (once), I had to do my sway bar end links, and valve cover gasket but that's about it. There's almost 114,000mi on it right now. Starts right up when I need it to and has never *knock on wood* left me stranded.

In my 2008 I've had problems with the MAP sensor for some reason due to wires being severed and a leaky power steering pump line.

Nothing major just basic maintenance. I had a recall for the shudder problem I have once in a while but that is common in the newer models. She is a great ride!

Nothing mechanically, when the stereo is at higher volumes, the door panels and glove box can make a buzzing sound.

I drive a 2005 Ford Focus ZX4 and so far I've had to replace both rear wheel bearings, my exhaust, and get a new keyfob. I'd say I've done fairly well for owning it three years.
