Setting up 2004SVT for hillclimbs

Been lurking for a long time. Fun forum. Now that I have 7 runs up the hill in stock 2004 SVT (+CAI) with 163k miles on it, I can see the need for more low end torque. I wish to run NA. No turbo. I expect I will need a tune from Tom. I am allowed a dry sump, lighter flywheel, and can exceed 65 throttle plate. DOT tires 140 or higher. Cannot relocate any factory mounting locations, but can upgrade components. LSD allowed. No minimum weight. 6point or more FIA cage rules.

Recommendations appreciated.

Some additional info: I need to retain everything required to street register in NH. Thus lights, horn, etc. remain as with a WRX car. Airbags are gone, interior otherwise gutted. Driver and passenger seats and belts (5pt) remain, as does AC. Driver requires the AC while staging for the launch. Hope this helps.

I'm only familiar with Bike Hillclimbs and 4x4 stuff. Is it the same type of event?
Can you elaborate a little more on the type of racing?
Or is it more like a Road Course style? Pikes Peak style?

More info on auto hillclimbs

Oh, sure. Excellent point!

I am a member of SCCNH (which runs the Climb To The Clouds Mt. Washington hillclimb, second only to Pike's Peak (although other runs would like to take exception to our claim).

This is the organization with which I run:
New England Hillclimb Association (NEHA) aka hillclimb dot org
Rules and the whole shebang are in that link.
I run S2 (Street Performance, 2-wheel drive) legally registered.
I am, as you could expect, currently slowest in the pack.
But I don't finish in the trees as do others.

I plan to run P4 (1600 cc and under, 12% cc credit allowed for NA, another 12% cc credit for DOT tires). Biggest competiton are NA Miatas (very tricked out).

Here is fastest run last year up Mt. Ascutney VT to give you a taste of my fav course.
Go to youtube and /watch?v=S3NT3jiwsrY

I used to do circle track, and one of my car builds was a front-and-first runner for 10 years.

In hillclimbs it is you vs the mountain. Oh, and for social reference, somebody also times your efforts to determine who get the carpy coffee mug at the end of the day.

But, in the end, the better the machine, the less the mountain holds you back.
