The RS model uses an entirely different style block from the ST and base Focus, free standing cylinders separate from the outer block at the head joint.

Mine will do something similar. I'll top it off and a few months later it might settle under the ADD line, but it stays there. Repeat. I just keep an eye on it.

I just noticed that my 2016 is below the minimum line. I’m gonna take it in to my dealer and have them see about it.

Before taking it in and possibly spending money on a non-issue. Make a mark and watch the level for a few days, or top it up and watch it. I can fill mine right up and within a week or two it's back down to the min level or slightly below but once there it never moves. This might be normal for your car.

It's the same way with the Fusion, Escape, F-150, Explorer, Edge, Transit Connect, Mustang and Fiesta.... Taurus and Transit (full size) are the only gas models using the "orange" coolant that I haven't seen this happen with.

Update: I purchased a new coolant tank cap at the dealer and it seems to have fixed my issue. The new cap goes on/off much easier than the original which seemed to be cross-threaded.

I had this problem as well. The fix is a little vaseline on the o-rings.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize the fix until my cap broke, which caused the vent to stick closed, and eventually over-pressurized my radiator until of one of the tank seals started leaking.

I replaced the radiator last week. Fun job! It's like a plastic snap-together puzzle--not at all like the bolted-together parts on the older trucks like I'm used to working on.

55k and I've started loosing coolant. No leaks I can find but the smell is pretty strong on the passenger side of the engine. Any idea where to look, maybe just start with a cap?
