This is the very thing I am talking about. Dishonest, unscrupulous dealers. With dealers like that, the 5 year/60,000 mile warranty is a joke as is the 14M01 warranty extension program.

I honestly believe the engineers at Ford Getrag and Luk are working on trying to resolve the problems with the DCT but with some dealers blowing off customers and refusing to service their transmissions, there may never be a resolution for some people.

Hopefully you have some ppwk. from the service visits.

At this point any car brought in for a DCT complaint should have the tsb checks done & results recorded/reported to the customer on their copy of the work order.

There IS a problem in terms of testing if the issue doesn't show while at the Dealer (why many put some miles on before showing up as problems seem to appear more at that time) but you should have ppwk for each visit.

Contact Ford for assistance through any of the methods you see here posted by the Ford Reps or through the methods mentioned in your owners manual.

Ford customer service through Twitter, Facebook, Email, Telephone calls, etc. All completely stonewalled, I can't help you.

This is an absolute joke. These cars are absolute garbage and Ford knows it.

Reminds me of the 6.0 Ford Superduty's.

Probably why Ford is having such a tough time selling them.

Better to rant here than when trying to get help from Ford.

There's obviously more to the story than what's been mentioned, if that's all the info. you've got when talking to Ford there's no doubt that they can't assist.

Bridges may have been burned at the Dealer you've used to date, seeing another when the problems are presenting themselves is the only option I see to try for some real help.

When you mention driving it for three days after it was at the Dealer before it did something you didn't like, there's an obvious (to me) reason to try & work with a Dealer so they can see & document the problem to be able to do something to help you.

Others have posted on how they were able to do this, I'm not going to try & repeat their advice.

Sympathy & advice to try & help is avail. here, but we can't handle it for you & neither can anyone else. Working with a Dealer to show them your problem is your responsibility. Any other avenues for satisfaction require even MORE investment of time & $ on your part, hard as it may be "chilling out" while dealing with them is the EASIEST route to get satisfaction.

Free advice, might not be worth more than you paid for it - but all I can offer.

Send me a private message with your case number, if you have one, and I'll look into your cases to see if I'm able to assist further.

I'm already out some $110 that I lost by paying a diagnostic fee to a dealership about 1.5 years ago before they really knew what was wrong (possibly before the TSB was issued) but after I passed 36k miles. I suppose I might be able to get that money back now.

Thank you!!!! PratoN

I don't think they're having that tough of a time selling them I have seen a lot of Focus' with new dealer tags on them here in Atl., and by the way I heard the so called "sounds like marbles" and/or grinding for the first time last night. Had I known about these problems 5 weeks ago and 1500 mi. later I would've bought something else, now I have slipping and noise. I can't believe Ford is even selling this year and model with this powertrain combo. I guess I'll head to the service department Monday.
