At least my dealer is not feeding me lines. The advisor and mechanics are very open about the problem. Dropped mine off yesterday and the mechanic said he changed 6 clutches last week...... Warranty extension is great.... But i would rather a recall or option to have a manual swapped in lol

I never thought of that, swap in a manual is an interesting idea. I've never heard anything but good about the manual. Don't know what else is involved thought in the commuters, electrical, console etc, foot pedals too.

Give us a tranny like the one that was in my 2010 Focus SES I never had a problem with it in 38K miles and it got 34 mpg. So "PLEASE" Ford really step up to the plate.
What is the recall going to entail? Cars stacking in dealers' repair queue, parked on the lots? What are they going to do, replace the whole transaxle with the same thing? What about the few of us not bitching about the transmission "feel" and calling it "defective" because we don't like it? Guess those few of us don't have to honor the recall, we can just go on driving our DCTs and not bitching that it should have a torque converter.

If its not defective... What is it they are fixing? Why 10 revisions on the various parts ? Why the tsb? Nothing is wrong we are just bitching

Once again in English, what are they going to recall? What's the difference between a recall and repair under warranty?

So you take your vehicle in under recall makes you feel better than taking it in under warranty?

And 10 revisions of what parts? Have you the part numbers? Or at least the part descriptions? Should we all be bitching about how many part revisions Ford has released? Guess we could; it at least gives us something to bitch about.

Point taken. I have a 160000km of warranty. They have till then to fix it....

That said. For some its starting to become a issue of safety. Bogging off the line when trying to merge or enter an intersection.. I guess when it becomes more of an issue of safety vs performance they can bring on the recall.

We experience the bogging down or slow off the line at times... It makes my wife very concerned when driving the car at times

I'd be interested in the 0 - 60 times for the cars that are bogging vs. the ones that aren't bogging. (60 feet, not mph).

The difference is that the dealership is required to perform the recall/replace the parts/update the software.

Ford may have extended the warranty, but there's still not really anything stopping the dealer from saying, "What you're experiencing is normal for this transmission. That'll be $100 for the diagnostic fees."

I'm already out some $110 that I lost by paying a diagnostic fee to a dealership about 1.5 years ago before they really knew what was wrong (possibly before the TSB was issued) but after I passed 36k miles. I suppose I might be able to get that money back now.
