Glad to hear your fix went well. Please keep us posted if you have any new issues pop up or have to take it back. I really wish Ford would extend the warranty on the affected cars to 10 years or 100,000 miles.

Thank you
Yes I would get it look at for sure.

Every clutch from a early build 2011 fiesta to the latest one I have pullout out and all the replacement ones are all made by Luk yes.

I hope so too, I would not be surprised at all if they extend the warranty in some kind of customer satisfaction program.

So just got my 2014 SE back today from being worked on. Mine shuddered from day one. I was told it would take until 10-12 K for the car to learn my driving style. Ha. It only got worse. Last week when I stepped on it to avoid a predicament it was as though I had lost power completely! Took it to Ford that afternoon. Explained the shuddering and loss of power. They took it right in. Two days later. Car is back. Transmission was leaking. Engine oil pan was leaking. Clutches were saturated in oil. New updated seals, New Clutch Packs, Oil Pan leak fixed, Misc parts replaced,New Oil in transmission, Transmission firm ware updated. Drove it home. It drives smoother and better even from the first day I drove it home with one mile on the odometer. If it shudders, looses power, Noisy, Not performing well. Take it back. I told the dealer today. If this happens again in the next few months they better plan on taking the car back and putting me in a Fusion!

Good to hear it is all fixed, yours should be ok now as you have the latest cluch and software that seems to be fixing them around here.

I'd be curious to know the build date of your vehicle. Look on the driver side door, there should be a white sticker that tells you. The build date on mine is 7/13. I wonder if yours is the same? My car is scheduled to go in for clutch replacement on 6/10. We'll see what happens.

Yeah when I took. Y 2012 back to ford I told them I'm keeping the rental until it was fixed. It's my wife's daily driver

The beechmont location here took it right in when I told them what it was doing and what I had read on the internet about the issue, so luckily my dealership was concerned about it.

Took it in on a Tuesday and got it back Thursday and drives like a brand new car now!

Thanks for posting the video...hopefully I'll get a tranny technician who is this good from my dealership!
UPDATE: So I had a clutch & seals replacement done on my car today 6/10/14. The job order is as follows; Test drive verified shutter on takeoff, ISS and Raw PID shows RPMS over 250-requires clutch to repair. Removed transmission, removed clutch, seals and components, cleaned components, Bellhousing and flywheel, drained fluid, installed new seals, clutch and components, reinstalled transmission & filled with fluid, reprogrammed PCM/TCM, performed TCM adaptive, learn performed 4-wheel alignment.

I was told that my car would need to relearn how I drive (wink wink) so therefore I could still experience some jerking/shuddering etc. for up to 2 weeks. So, we shall see if this works. I'm hoping for the best but not feeling 100% sure that this won't happen again.

It is gonna need a couple hundred miles to learn the shift fine touch points but other wise should be ok. They give you the green clutch break in characteristics sheet?

Thank you makuloco2000 for responding. They did not give me a clutch break in characteristics sheet. Where can I find one? I'm assuming the new seals and clutch are from the same distributor's as I had previously since there hasn't been a change in those two components since the 2014 model came out? Mine was built 07/13. I noticed last week when I put the car in reverse to back out that it jerked real bad. Felt like I had the foot on the brake! Will be watching that closely! Any other tips you can give me? Thanks again!
