It is still grinding, it drives a bit better (smoother lower gear changes) but it can be everything in my mind. I will let you know in a week, after I test it better.
The DCT was not a real problem for me when I went to the dealer. I wanted only to let you know about this TSB. Maybe someone who has "bumpy" gear changes could use this TSB and talk to his dealer to perform it.

It's a software update to the VIP, not MFT, for those that had to go to the dealer to get 3.0.2 installed. Those were very early 2012 builds. Mine was built in dec. 2012 and my upgrade was 11A03.

I had this done today. Car definitely seems smoother on low-RPM/low-gear shifts. Will report back in a week or two after transmission learning is over.

So it definitely seems improved. No real shudder at low gears. Almost no hesitation. It's still not *perfect* but it's much more drivable in my eyes. Making left turns across busy traffic is not as terrifying as before, and I noticed that when I come to a stop then go to take off soon after the shudder (as if the gears didn't reset) is gone.

I would recommend this to other DCT owners, but remember: YMMV.
