Simple Mod for Radio/GPS

Anybody have a LG G6 or something similiar in size? I've found that my phone when turned sideways will fit snug right in front of the radio screen. While it does block the stock screen when put there this still works excellent for GPS, using phone for music and over all general phone holder if your phone fits that is and you dont mind blocking that screen. I mainly put it there when i use GPS as i dont have the nice center console with screen😉

I've done that with my friend's Fiesta. In the Mk3.5, it will also sit up-right on the dash with the speed/tach (done with a LG G6 and Pixel 3. Might be slippery.)

Here is a better solution. Your G6 has wireless charging so this will work great. I use this vent clip fast wireless charger with my LG G7. It's not motorized which is unique and it does not have an orientation specific cradle position since it grips with spring loaded rubberized roller wheels on the sides of the phone. Charges through my phone case no problem. I did have to get a longer cable to route from my center console 12v plug along the center console and up to the passenger side air vent. I got some cord minder adhesive rubber clips to keep the charge cord tidy and away from the passenger seat. Tried other wireless car chargers but they were either motorized to clamp the phone or would only work in one orientation (vertical) and were awkward to remove the phone. This one is one handed, push phone in and pull phone out, and it can rotate 360 degrees, mounted horizontally it doesn't block much of the air vent either (although I rarely have passengers so I keep that vent shut off anyway).
