Some RS owners don't like the automatic control of the valve so they bypass that with a delete plug and a driver-controlled switch. From what I can gather, it is just all the way opened or closed so that's a pretty simple thing to control assuming the motor/valve has it's own limit switches. I'd check the RS forums to see what people are using for control switches.
