Guarantee I can get a much larger % of what I paid new with a 5 speed than youíll ever see.

Well, regardless of what many on here will say, I still think the DCT Titanium is still a better daily vs. an ST1. The ST1 looks amazing but it gets poor MPGS, has a cheaper looking interior & driving a 6 speed in heavy commuter traffic isnít exactly something most people want to do.

Stop comparing your grocery getter to an ST. A few more differences vs just slapping wheels on it.

Like I said, the ST looks better, is way faster & handles better, but does that make it a better daily? Most people would probably say no because of the poor MPGs & manual.

The other big difference is that 5-10 years from now, buyers will still pay a premium for a used ST. They won't for a non-ST/RS.

Hey I have an "ST" too!

Oh wait. I actually do.

Black plastic moulding on the bottom of the car, black wheels and a solid rear spoiler do not make it look like an ST.

We have a ton of titanium's where I live they definitely do not look like an ST. I have a Fiesta ST myself. I have 3 cars.

I said my car looks Ďsimilarí to the ST because I have the optional 235/40R18 wheel/tire pkg & because the wheels are black.

Of course the ST looks much better, we all know that. But I think the question was is a manual ST a better daily vs. a DCT Titanium? I donít think that it is, otherwise I wouldíve bought the ST last year, when they were selling brand new Ď18s for 20k. I like the Fiesta ST also, but maybe if you guys lived in areas such as LA where itís just constant gridlock 24/7, you might not be happy with the manuals.

The vast vast majority of people on the Fiesta ST site live in Los Angeles.

I never minded a manual as a daily driver - I never really thought about shifting gears, it was second nature like walking. I learned on a manual and only had manuals up until the last decade or so (second car was not manual). Reasons why I didn't seek out another manual was the wife didn't want one (can't drive one), but the main one was that manual wasn't even an option on the hatchback any more in form (excluding ST/RS, which I wasn't interested in) plus we wanted the extra features in the Titanium.

I love the Titanium trim inside also. I donít think Iíd be happy with the ST1 pkg. just because of the interior. I do not want to daily drive an ST3 w/ those seats. Iíve sat inside of them & theyíre not comfortable whatsoever to the average person. If Ford wouldíve offered the ST1 pkg. w/the Titanium infotainment system & 8Ē backup screen then I might be okay with the manual. Say what you want about the DCT, but I havenít reset my trip odometer in 900 miles & Iím averaging about 29 mpg mix of city/freeway on 87. The ST wouldnít come close to that, so factor in monthly fuel costs, higher octane & higher insurance rates & I donít see the STís as better dailyís.
