Need some help

My 2012 Ford Focus jerks and vibrates in 1st and 2nd gear when it warms up. Could it be the clutches or a shift solenoid

Probably the clutches if its an automatic. If your car is less then 7 years old and 160 000 KM, go to the dealer and get them replaced under warranty.

Also take it in to have the TCM updated, even though I was outside the warranty for the clutches it was still in for the update, made a world of difference

Had it scanned and they said there is low pressure on the number 1and number 2 clutches. Do I need the whole transmission rebuilt or just the clutches or are the o rings leaking by.

Maybe the seals are leaking at that point so the clutches need to be removed, cleaned and reinstalled but like I said if you are still under warranty, they will fix the seals and put new clutches for free.

Btw, this is not a rebuilt.

Thank you. No longer under warranty have about 103000 miles on it. Do you have any idea what that repair would cost to have it done if I took the transmission out

https://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/...ct-clutch.html

Judging by post #6, $1500-1800 according to dealer. Post #33 says that "DCT depending on labour cost is around 5000 dollars to get it replaced with a new one, with a 3 year warranty." Post #34 says around $2000.

You might as well sell this car and opt for something else if you want to stick with an automatic transmission.

Check both transmission mounts, there’s a top and bottom one. I had a similar issue and it was a blown out bushing, not the transmission. Also, avoid the dealer like the plague. Find a reputable mechanic on google or yelp and save yourself a couple grand in labor and parts.
