Adding Backup Camera to 2014 SE?

Hi Hang,
I just moved up from my 2006 Focus to wife's ex-2014 Focus with the base 4.2" SYNC (we just purchased her a brand new 2018 Focus SE). After driving her new ride, I was interested in adding a backup camera to the 2014.

After perusing the 'net and this site, it appears that I can enable the backup camera functionality in SYNC using FORSCAN and feed in the signal from an aftermarket camera using a SYNC extension harness with a camera input. Is this a correct assumption?

This is the extension harness in question:

EDIT; Or do I want this cable?

Here is a camera that looks reasonable; has anyone had experience with it?

Thanx in advance for any insights.. :)

I have the camera. It works well with my aftermarket stereo. Not going to do better for the price.

Interesting. I though with the 4.3” screen you needed a module to allow video/add a camera to the stock screen.

I was looking at the NAV-TV unit - https://navtv.com/products/NTV-KIT59...-for-ford.html - but it looks like my screen is not compatible (has to be proper model and have 75ohm resistance between two pins on the screen).

What are the other options? Do I buy a used screen that should be compatible then buy the module or is there a way to reprogram?

Already bought a camera that replaces the trunk handle, just trying to figure out the best way to connect without buying an aftermarket radio.

Thanks!

- Dan
