The 2018 Focus S

What is there to do for this car? Due to recent events I had to sell my toys and this was all I could afford. Need to know some customization options!

Congratulations on your new car! I remember when I had a 2012 "S" and was really interested in a few affordable mods.

Here are a few ideas:

- Carbon fiber wrap. You can always carbon fiber wrap a few pieces of trim in the car. The material is fairly cheap and there are lots of good instructional videos on-line. Cost: approx. $50.00, depending on the quality of the custom fiber wrap. However, this may be time intensive, depending on what piece(s) of trim you wrap. Usually, less is more.

- Custom valve caps. Replace the existing valve stems with custom ones. There are many ford-logo custom valve stems available to purchase on-line. You can also check out your local automotive store for ideas. Cost: approx. $20

- Wheel center hub cap stickers. The blue ford oval on the hub caps is a little boring. There are a lot of a different hub cap stickers to add a little "pop." Cost: approx. $20

- Custom gear shift knob. You can get a custom gear shift knob in many different colors and emblems. Maybe your favorite sports team has a knob available? Cost: approx. $50 - $150.

- Debadge the "focus" or "s" from the back of the car. Makes the car look cleaner.

- Chrome slatted grille. I was not a fan of the stock black grille that came with the car. I prefer the chrome slatted grille that only comes on the titanium trim. It was fairly easy to remove the stock grille and replace it with a titanium grille. I purchased the titanium grille for less than $100 off ebay. It's not oem, but seems equivalent in quality. There are instructional videos on-line of how to remove the existing grille and replace. (For my 2017 the titanium grille part number was F1EZ-8200C, but I don't know if that's the correct part number for 2018.)

Anyway, I hope that helps! Enjoy your new car!
