You can use this video i found on you tube. This guy is taking the console stack apart. Just follow it until it gets to when you can tip it upside down and shake the coin out.

Glad you got it out. For the unlucky ones, here's what is looks like apart.

Unfortunately you have to remove the console and shifter bezel to get to the inside of the holder. The top slotted piece is screwed in by 3 torx bolts from the bottom. And on this one the two slots are are actually two separate compartments with a divider in between.

I think you should just cut the slot bars, file down the edges and wala you get your coin holder.
