I retired my Mk1 2002 ZTW in early January almost 200,000 miles but I could no longer keep up with the rust.
It took 3 months to find my nice Silver 2015 SE hatchback with a 5 speed and only 18,000 miles that was loaded. I had the car for 28 days and got hit in the drivers side doors (airbags worked great) I did not even get to make a payment. Looking for a replacement I can't find a hatchback with a 5 speed with less than 25,000 miles within 500 miles of me. DRAT!

after more than a fruitless month of searching for another low mileage manual hatchback, I have crossed over to the dark side. we miss the old ZTW and have purchased a gently used 2016 VW Sportwagen

When people say their car is "like new" it rarely really is. Yours is not, but in your case that is because it looks even better now than it did new. The love is really showing in that photo! I wish you lived across the street from me so I could stare at your car a while every day. (Kinda' crying out for black headlight bezels, though, with the black whiskers, fog light trim, and wheels.)

Thanks and yes, black headlamps are coming soon but I have two other cars that beg from my wallet also.
It is pretty close to how it was new save for a couple little scuffs but the inside is definitely near mint.
It does help it sees zero snow and even very little rainy weather. The new ST wing did change it's character a little bit.

Nice car but why is your hood raised by the windshield?
I also think your rear wing would be better served without the sunroof air deflector since the air should flow smoothly over the car to the spoiler since you have a swirling vacuum created behind the deflector.

All for looks, this car doesn't even need rear downforce (makes no difference) haha

The sun roof deflecter serves no purpose at all but I like how it looks

Hood spacers, was popular among ricer civics and some U.K. Car enthusiasts, kind of like the rusty hood. All for character
