Question Only $168 difference between SEL & Titanium???

I built and SEL and Titanium with the same add-ons and they only come out to a difference of $168...does that seem right?

SEL: http://www.ford.ca/app/url/AEDA7296-.../redirect.html

Titanium: http://www.ford.ca/app/url/1A58EB7B-.../redirect.html

If so....I'd be STUPID not to get the Titanium over the SEL.

IMO, I think SEL and Titanium overlap, and maybe the SEL will fade away as the SES did. Or, get replaced with 'SE Luxury pack' as the SES was with "SE Sport".

You can build up an SEL to almost be a Titanium... except for one thing which to me was important and that is the intelligent access.

I prefer the SEL because I absolutely hate touch screens. Therefore my SEL will be cheaper than that compared to a Titanium, because I won't be decking it out with as many options.

The Titanium includes a lot of extra crap that I would really rather not have, not to mention I don't want to pay for it. The Titanium will have a rougher ride, and it will be more expensive to buy and maintain. It's a matter of personal preference. I don't place much value on hot-hatch handling or gimmicky electronic gizmos. I just want the gimmicky electronic gizmos that I consider useful and cost-effective. I plan to get a base SEL.

Older and more mature buyers will choose the SEL for its ride comfort. The Titanium is more for younger buyers who are looking for fancy gadgets and larger wheels. They might be priced similarly, but they nicely fit into their own unique demographic.

Personally the furthest I'd ever go would be the SE Sport Package. Considering the same engine is offered throughout the entire lineup, I really don't see the need to go beyond that point. Even if I was offered a Titanium for free I'd never use its extra features.

It's not always about money. It all depends on what you personally value most.

I just now had this thought.... I know the st some guys got to look at was indeed a manual but I would laugh if they only offered it with paddle shifters as the most "manual like" option.

That would be awesome. I love whiny fanboy posts. That reminds me, I haven't checked up on the civic forums in a while.
