I know that there are many parts of this forum, but I thought I would start here with my question. I have an SEL hatchback and was wondering if there is an easy way to remove the cargo cover that raises and lowers with the hatch door. Sometimes I take my dogs in the car and it would be nice to remove that to give them more room. I can't find anything in the owner's manual about that. Has anyone ever done this? -- Thx

It just pops out, I remove it when ever I fold the back seats down and load in my music gear.

You first have to disconnect the two pull strings that attach from the cover to the actual hatch....they are in key slots on the hatch side. Then just pop out the cover.

Disclaimer.....at least that is how it works on my Ti.

Thanks for the info! I will try that tonight. Except for the spare tire and subwoofer, I thing the cargo area is the same on all models...but correct me if I am wrong!

Other than the height of the floor in the Titanium models w/handling package, yes.

Older and more mature buyers will choose the SEL for its ride comfort. The Titanium is more for younger buyers who are looking for fancy gadgets and larger wheels.
I'm not absolutely convinced that is true. We're 59, and my wife didn't even think about any of the non-TI cars, they just didn't have the gadgets and extras she wanted. I think the SE and SEL are more for young people who can't/won't cough up the money for the TI.

It would be interesting to see the actual demographics on the different models. My guess is buyers over 40 would gravitate to the TI.

I gravitated toward the SE due to the fact the TI had no STICK. Im 38, so im no spring chicken. Just because people are young doesn't mean they won't cough up the $. A lot of us think the SE with the Sport package is the best bang for the buck, save for the ST. As someone stated in the SE thread... All the Good Stuff and NONE of the FAT.

46 here; went with the SEL which was more car than I originally planned for - gas mileage and warranty were priorities for my dialy commuter. I would have gotten an SE but the smell of the leather in the SEL on the dealer's lot - sold!
