Unless I am mistaken, the only interior color on the the Titanium is black and I can't stand a black interior. You can get tan/stone, in the SEL

And of course, important for those of us in Canada. You can load out an SEL with almost all the options of a Titanium, but you can still get it in a manual tranny.
And of course, with all the MFT troubles, you can also opt out of having the MFT.

I would love paddle shifters.

Interior color

I have to to agree with you electech. It regularly gets to the 95 degrees + here during summer. Why no other interior color options for the Titanium?

Here in the USA, if you get a SEL with the MyFord Touch, the price gets fairly close to that of the Titanium($700 difference). If you add any extra features, you lose ANY cost savings in the SEL vs. Titanium, so you may as well go with the Titanium.

Now, my own complaint on the build site here in the USA is that it asks for your zip code, yet with that information, sales tax, and other fees are not added to the price. In my case, you can go from a $206/month payment on the web site, and end up with a $250/month payment with the same amount down, same trade-in value, etc. It makes the web site USELESS for most people who want to see what they can really afford.

Ford should just remove the question for what your zip code is since the system doesn't do ANYTHING with that information, except to direct you to a local dealer.

Weird...the Canadian site incorporates tax into the payment. For a lease it leaves it off the equation by default but there's a check box to include taxes if you want.

A lot of countries in the world include tax (and any other applicable fees) with the sticker price of stuff. America is one of the few that doesn't. I'm not familiar with Canadian laws so I can't comment on that. But anyway I think it's completely idiotic not to include tax. Many people are trying to get a law passed here in America that basically states the sticker price must be the FINAL price of something you're purchasing.

Cars are the worst when it comes to this. When you see a car with an advertised "MSRP" of $16,000, you'll find that the price jumps up to $19,000 (exaggeration, but you get my point) when you use the online configurator. It could be through misleading package requirements, or the typical hidden fees of tax, title, destination, "processing", etc. Either way they seriously need to stop with this false advertisement BS.

To be fair, a part of the problem her in the USA is that sales tax is based on the COUNTY you live in plus state. NY State for example has a 4% sales tax, but county taxes where I live add an additional 4.625% for a total of 8.625% sales tax. Now, there CAN be different sales tax rates based on the item purchased as well in some places, so that adds to the problem.

But, Ford SHOULD be able to get the information and put it up on the web site so the taxes get added in.

One thing that Ford SHOULD get rid of is the "destination charges". If the destination fees are the same for the continental USA, why not just add those in to the price since EVERYONE will be paying it anyway? Variable fees based on county/state is one thing, but if there is a flat delivery charge, why not just include that in the price of the car?

As far as prices, the problem also comes in where you DO have certain extra complications that come from the state/county you are dealing with. How much paperwork goes into the registration, title, etc...? I can see these being extras that add to the price over a list price as well. In general though, all of these things should not be "hidden", and should be the same no matter what dealer you go to.

That's a new law I can get behind.
