Fan Speed #3 doesn't work properly - 2008 Ford Focus

2008 Ford Focus SE - 2.0L Duratec (4-spd auto) Vapor Silver
(North American Version )
The fan speed control knob/ dial Works on speed 1, 2, 3 and 4.
So naturally every speed you move to , the fan should go faster(eg.1-2-3-4)

Except in my car all of a sudden ....that changed.
When you turn the Dial speed-2 to speed-3, #3 stays at the same speed that #2 was, and if you increase to #4 it works as it should at max speed.

So basically all speeds work all speeds blow air & all speeds work as they should except #3....# operates at the same speed as #2 for some reason.

I've owned the car since new & it used to work properly...speed 3 would be faster than 2, but slower than 4.

I replaced the Blower Motor Resistor , but this made no difference.
My AC works completely fine. No check engine lights no issues that would cause interference.
All other Vent Controls/ Heating buttons work just fine.

Does anyone have any idea what's the cause & how i can fix this?

Likely blower switch if resistor did not fix it. Some like mine melt inside, too much current for the plastic used.
Fix the driver first, then fixing the car becomes so much easier..........
