Does the user manual provide any info on the oil and oil amount for the car? I'm sure this is a European model and most of us FF people are in North America driving an NA model so what we use may not be correct for your car.

From Autozone, a 2010 2.0 Focus uses Motorcraft - Mercon LV (ATF) Automatic Transmission Fluid. I'm none the wiser though since mine is a manual transmission

Hi all.

I have an automatic 08 focus, it has 90,000 miles. I am thinking to change the transmission fluid but I see some posts and some say that if I change it now it could lead to transmission failure. Please guide me on this, it's the car's first time to change the fluid.

Note: the color of the current fluid is light brown.

You're not even to the service internal for any of Ford's current transmissions fluids, which is 100,000 miles. Changing the fluids won't cause any issues, but I would recommend a simple fluid change and not a "transmission flush"...
